St Annes Beach: A local’s perspective
St Anne’s Beach is the kind of place locals head to when the sun peeks out and they want a relaxed day by the sea. It’s not a swimming beach, so don’t expect surfers and swimmers but that’s kind of the charm. It’s wide, open and perfect for kite flying (seriously the wind keeps it sailing high). The sand is ideal for building proper sandcastles, the kind that needs teamwork and maybe even a moat. There’s a promenade where you’ll see people walking dogs, pushing prams or just taking in the sea air with an ice cream in hand.
Just off the beach, literally a minute’s stroll away, there’s a kids paddling pool, a few little amusements and all the ice cream and chips you could want. It’s simple, breezy and really easy to love.

From Team Hy
We’re lucky enough to have St Annes Beach quite literally on our doorstep and honestly, it never gets old. For a lot of us on the team, it’s more than just a beach. It’s where we flew our first kite, played with our friends and complained to our parents that the sun was too hot and we wanted an ice cream.
We’ve noticed it with our guests too, so many of them tell us that their families have been coming here for generations. They’ll say things like, ‘I used to come here with my parents every summer, and now I bring the little ones’. That kind of shared memory is really special. It’s a place that has become a family tradition.
Nearby Eats & Drinks
St Annes was voted one of the best seaside towns for food options and quality so it’s easy to stumble into some lovely places to eat. If you’re thinking about a seaside lunch or dinner you can make your way to the fish and chip shop located on the promenade near the pond or if you fancy a bit more options you can walk 5 minutes towards Woodstreet to find what suits you.
