The FriendsFestive event gives you the chance to explore your favourite sets dressed for the season (check out Monica’s apartment, Joey and Chandler’s, and Central Perk), you can visit the Holiday Armadillo’s grotto, and even re-enact the iconic Thanksgiving floating heads scene.

Get your Thanksgiving pants on; there’ll be themed food stalls and Christmas cocktails as well as exclusive FriendsFestive merchandise.

The ‘Mexico’ Disaster

Learn more about ‘the worst loss of crew in a single incident in RNLI history’ with this exhibit, as Lytham Heritage Group commemorates the 135th Anniversary of this tragic event. Viewed as a national disaster across Victorian England, the 1886 attempt to rescue crew from the German barque Mexico cost the lives of 27 lifeboatmen.

Spot the red panda twins

Blackpool Zoo recently welcomed not one, but two baby red pandas (pictured). With only 10,000 red pandas left in the wild, these cubs are cause for extra celebration, so head along and see if you can spot them.

It’s A Wonderful Life

Lowther Cinema, Lytham
2pm 4th November

Get in the festive spirit with this afternoon screening of It’s a Wonderful Life, as Clarence the angel shows George Bailey (James Stewart) what his town would’ve been like if it hadn’t been for his good deeds over the years.

For £10, not only do you get your ticket to watch the film but you’ll also be able to enjoy soup and a sandwich in the Lowther bar an hour before the film starts.

How The Koala Learnt To Hug

Enjoy this charming family musical with your little ones and get a chance to meet author Steven Lee, who will be available to sign copies of How The Koala Learnt To Hug and Other Australian Fairytales on sale after the show.

We’ll Meet Again

Choose from a matinee or evening performance reminiscing as talented vocalists and comedy instrumentalists recreate British radio variety programme Workers’ Playtime, with tributes to Donald Peers, Gracie Fields, Frank Randle, Anne Shelton, Jack Buchanan, Rob Wilton and, of course, Dame Vera Lynn.

Adventures of the Yorkshire Shepherdess

Dip your feet in the rural idyll and enjoy an evening of heart-warming tales from Yorkshire Shepherdess Amanda Owen in this frank, funny and informative new show. The shepherdess and mother-of-nine shares stories and photos from her remarkable farming, family life.

Santa’s Grotto

Visit Santa Claus and explore his grotto. Your little ones will meet the elves, receive a gift and a DIY bauble to make at home, enjoy a hot chocolate and go on the Alice in Wonderland ride. Book well in advance to avoid disappointment.

Magic Goes Wrong

A hapless gang of magicians stage an evening of grand illusion to raise cash for charity. As the magic turns to mayhem, accidents spiral out of control and so does their fundraising target.
